E3 2013 games we need to see more of

E3 2013 is around the corner and there are still a number of important questions surrounding the big games of the show; these are the games were dying to know about:

Call of Duty: Ghosts

Call of Duty Ghosts boasts a new world, a new cast of characters, and a story written by Stephen Gaghan (screenwriter of Syriana and Traffic), but we want to know more – who’s behind the attacks on the US? Which guns will we be playing with? And do we have to clean up after our commando dog?

Ghosts will also showcase a new next-generation model of the Infinity Ward engine, which will hopefully add some spit and polish to the familiar Call of Duty look.

Destiny

Since Bungie handed over the Halo crown to 343 Industries, the famous studio has been working on Destiny – its new multiplayer FPS game for PS3 and PS4.

We don’t know too much about it, but Destiny is a first-person shooter set in a persistent online world, with a heavy focus on co-op gameplay. The game will require always-on internet in order to be played.

We’d like to know what the game’s premise is? How will the world of Destiny evolve with player interactions? And whether we’ll still be able to tea-bag enemies.

Batman: Arkham Origins

Batman: Arkham Origins is the next game in the Arkham franchise, but instead of being developed but RockSteady Studios, who handled Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, the game development now falls into the hands of Warner Bros. Games Montreal.

WB Montreal has been given full access to Rocksteady’s custom modified Unreal engine, which will keep Arkham Origins within the same vein of the previous games.

Regarding the setting, the game will take place before the events of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City where an “unrefined Batman” takes on some super-villains for the very first time.

Origins will see “eight of the world’s best assassins coming together on one night, Christmas Eve, to kill the Bat”.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Hideo Kojima was up to his usual tricks before revealing MGS 5, which was actually Ground Zeroes, which was actually the Phantom Pain; but we want to know more.

The Phantom Pain will be the first game running on the new FOX engine, developed by Kojima Productions, and published by Konami. Hideo Kojima will be at the helm, writing, directing, and designing the game with his team.

We do know that Big Boss is back as the protagonist and this time he gets to action-stealth it up in an open world environment.

The announce trailer also revealed that Big Boss has been in a nine-year coma, and he’s also got a shiny new hook for a hand.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

The first Lords of Shadow was shamelessly underplayed, and hopefully a sequel will do Mercury Steam’s efforts justice.

Lords of Shadow 2 will be on show at E3, and will hopefully give us a greater insight into where the story is heading, what the combat is like, and how Alucard is going to play a role in the sequel.

What games are you looking forward to finding out more about?
