The new live-action trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is titled the Mechanical Apartheid, and showcases the persecution of augmented humans by the more regular variety.
The game will feature a world torn apart by human segregation – complete with concentration camps and chaotic violence – caused by augmented humans being ‘hacked’ and attacking innocent civilians.
The title of the video uses the South African term ‘apartheid’ to refer to the discrimination shown in the trailer. It will be interesting to see how this theme is portrayed in the finished game as opposed to a live-action sequence.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided releases on 23 August 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
