I can't believe the upsets that happened this year and it's as i predicted when we started talking super rugby with all the team transfers that happened it's very unpredictable. One of the major upsets was prolly the rebels and force winning. Can't believe the bulls played that kak by pyper was a BOX again as usual i counted 7 high tackles that he didn't blow and 9 roll away infringements that went unnoticed but as soon as the bulls did it we got kak. and the amount of diving over the rucks the stormers got away with cleaning out players behind the ruck not even in the ruck that is utter crap

So this weekend wasn't the best for sport. My Sharks played lethargic and without any intensity at all. The Cheetahs beat them not by skill, but by heart and guts.

Then even though the Proteas won, I wasn't convinced in their game. It seems Zimbabwe is a much better team than anticipated, but I was so disappointed in our top-order batsman, and Faf better start scoring runs, because he's not contributing anything to the team, and he can easily be replaced by Riley Rossouw.

Then the Bitz Bokke lost in the semi-final to Fiji, but at least they beat USA to get 3rd place overall. With NZ losing against Fiji in the final, it still means that the Blitz Bokke is still leading the overall points log for the season. Hopefully they can bag a win or two in the upcoming tournaments.
 
So Ireland beat the Windies, and I think they may surprise a few other teams as well. With the way the Windies are playing I can't see them making the quarters.

I was also pretty disheartened by the Proteas performance... Steyn was pathetic... I have honestly not seen him bowl that poorly ever... The only positive i take out of that game was that the "middle order" got tested, and performed... About time miller did something decent at this level... but if we were playing anyone of the top 5 teams i think we would have lost that game... The Aussies would have punished us playing like that...

Was also pretty disappointed in the blitzbokke... At least they still in the lead, but i really wanted them to get the third win in a row...

What an upset... I dont think anyone saw this coming... West Indies are just not in it at the moment... so much politics surrounding them... its really sad to see a team like theirs perform so poorly...
 
I hope the Bulls have a better track record away from home this year as it seems not even Loftus could help them start with a win.
 
2nd F1 Pre-Season test starts today at 8:00 GMT (10:00 SAST ?) at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.

If the Ferraris and the Ferrari-engined Saubers are again top of the time-sheets by Sunday I'll be well impressed (and happy!) Still a bit worried that the Mercs were sandbagging a bit in Jerez and focussed on reliability rather than speed there. Let's see what happens over the next 4 days.

Best place, imho, for the working stiffs like me to keep a quiet eye on things from Barcelona without the boss getting grumpy is to load http://autosport.com/commentary.php/id/818 up in the background. :-)
 
Did anybody watch the UEFA game between Chelsea and PSG on Tuesday? Have to say that Courtois is very fast approaching that point where no one except Manuel Neuer can be considered in the same league as him.

I see Wolff is getting some laps in with the Williams, that's great news for her prospects!

I doubt that she will ever do F1 properly and not just in a testing capacity, which I find very sad, but then again I am not sure how good she really is in a car.

I like Susie a lot but, sadly, I'd have to agree with you Wyvern.

Her times today were okay, but nowhere near what Bottas or Massa will probably be able to do in the same car tomorrow. Not embarrassing at all, but if it were a GP she'd have been mixing it up with the likes of Caterham and Marussia in the back of the field, as opposed to challenging for a podium at the front.

She also had a coming together with Nasr today, the only contact incident so far this season. Not her fault in my opinion, but still didn't do her rep much good.

She did however put in tons of laps today which shows she's easily strong and fit enough to handle a full GP if the need ever arises.

Was also pretty impressed by Pascal Wehrlein, the Merc reserve driver who was loaned to Force India for the day, but then landed up subbing for the "feverish" LewLew in the afternoon. With Rosberg possibly also sidelined with a pinched nerve in his neck, the youngster may even get more seat time in the Merc tomorrow too.
 
Yeah Maldonando was kinda quick i think F1 might be interesting this year

In other news the Chiefs just won with 2 points thank goodness

And the way the rebels are playing they are going to win the super rugby trophy this year Scored first try again against the Thas :(
 
Did you guys see what New Zealand did to the pommies this morning :wtf:

I am quite concerned about the Kiwi's after our warm up game against them... They looking a lot stronger than people gave them credit for...

Fun fact, New Zealand has played in more semi-finals of the word cup than any other cricket playing country. This year they have home ground advantage and a very in-form team. They are most definitely not the minnow team they once were perceived to be, and I believe they can easily beat any team at any time. This year's CWC is almost like the Rugby World Cup; it's going to be either Australia, New Zealand or South Africa that's going to win it...:p
