Woo! Load shedding, woo!

Thankfully ours shut off at 6PM on the dot and came on again at 8. 30 minutes less than they said, so I can't complain too much. Got that flu shot during the time too :D

Loadshedding for us tonight. All I'm keen to do is a little bit of gaming :( Last night these ADSL issues prevented that from happening.

I have a few apps that Say i should get load shedding every single night. But I have not received load shedding in almost a month now O_o

im glad im clear from loadshedding tonight, cause my xbox is still busy downloading army of two from last month :( damn telkom line is SHIT i tell u

Load shedding started earlier (16:12) "due to loss of additional generating capacity".

A normal Mindful company would announce something before they do it :

ie : at 4 pm announce that loadshedding will commence earlier due to loss of gen capacity

but eskom is like a backwards donkey, first they cut people's power without warning and then they announce, 20 minutes larter oh we had to start loadshedding earlier due to loss of gen capacity.

just pure incompetence if you ask me. slowly getting sick of the way things are being done in this country

Ah. I haven't had load shedding in 2 weeks, and was just hit at the time you specified. Knew my luck would run out eventually.

We didn't get hit last night :D Though some suburbs around the city bowl were. It's always when you're most prepared for it that you get a nice surprise.

Sharenet says: 14:00 - 16:30 at work.
Grid Watch says: None.

Eskom has made no announcement on Twitter thus far...

Hi All

I don't mind the load shedding, as long as I know when it's going to be so that I can make arrangements for when it does. If only Eskom can decide the day before and stick to it.

Enjoy

Sadly, they cannot predict when loadshedding will be announced. However planned maintenance they usually tell us a few hours before the time. Unplanned maintenance/power plant issues they usually announce the Loadshedding about 30-60min before the time, in some cases a few minutes if it's something critical.

EDIT:

Stage 2 is scheduled to begin at 17:00
