The official Witcher 3 thread

If you go down to Witcher 3's churchyard today, you're in for a spooky surprise.

It seems like developer CD Projekt Red has a few Doctor Who fans in its ranks, as players have discovered an Easter egg featuring the TV series' Weeping Angel enemies.

Spoiler: show

Travel to the church near Lindenvale and you'll see a pair of odd-looking statues standing outside.

Explore inside the church and return outside - wait, was that statue facing towards you before?

Turn to leave the area, then look back over your shoulder. Where did the statue go?!

Don't blink. Don't turn your back. Don't look away.

And don't blink. Good luck.

That's pretty cool! :D

Just finished getting the Superior Feline set. I've also reached lvl 28 (almost 29) and I'm pretty sure I'm nearing the end of the game story wise. Will probably do a few more side missions and monster contracts and then finish the game by Sunday evening maybe. Will then play through the game on PC (using imported save) and then decide on which platform to get the expansion pass (first).

I find it difficult to follow the story, especially if there is a lot of dialogue; I remember so little and have trouble staying focused. :(

do you have distractions in your room?
I find if the tv is on I can't focus on the games properly or when there are a lot of noise from outside cars for exsample.

It's my ADD kicking in. Can't focus on something for very long before I lose concentration.

So the game is starting to piss me off a little. Not a lot, but just enough to start being irritating. When i go to a npc for a quest it takes about 10-20 seconds before i can talk to them. When i fast travel the mini map is black for about 30 seconds and the quests dont track for about a minute. Same thing with doors as with npc's. The option to open a door just doesnt exist and then you have to stand their and wait till it appears.

Its small stuff but it gets hectic if you want to sit and play for a fee hours. Also seems it is worst in velen and novigrad especially. In the other places it doesnt happen as much.

Really struggling with this Werewolf, fucking health regenerates.

What level are you on? I tried fighting it multiple times before I realised I was 2 level below the suggested level.

I did the following to defeat it:

Spoiler: show
Once I was a level or 2 above it, I went and fought it again, using IGNI and going apeshit with slashing it. Using YRDEN might also help, though I did not use it.

One thing that is getting rather annoying for me is when (for no reason) Geralt puts away his sword and start fighting using his fists. Very frustrating.

I am on level four. just arrived at vissima.

I upped the difficulty to death march. Was finding it way to easy.

Novigrad story wise was extremely annoying for me, way too many of these fed-ex "go to 3 places and clear it/grab something" stuff and just way too much sillyness/humour for my tastes . It really got old quickly , especially coming from the Baron storyline, the Dandelion story was just non nonsensical to me, all kinda nowhere and all over the place. Only in Skellig did things start getting some focus again....

And yes, i also notice a significant slow down in Novigrad , you run to a spot and then wait for NPCs to load up around you...it didnt' help that the quests were constantly fed-exing you from the one end to the other end of the city.

Other than Novigrad, the rest is still superb, what follows after that equally stellar so far....and just when i thought i'm at the end of the story..it goes on.

I can not believe this I got the xp bug now I receive no xp when finishing story or hunt missions. This is a jokeI can not believe they messed up this bad.I am playing the ps4 version why cant developers release a game with out a shit ton of bugs. This is getting traded as soon as possible.

This game has had me cussing, smiling, laughing, frowning and recently gasping. Basically, my emotions are being played with as they did in The Last of Us.

*edit*

Don't know about you guys but... I'm taking what I perceive to be the "Good Samaritan" approach to this game.

*edit*

I'm playing the game with the controller.Only use the mouse when sorting out my inventory and leveling, as I find using a controller takes too much time. I do often get confused with the button layout; sometimes accidentally throwing a grenade close to me thinking I've opened up the Signs menu.
