Risen any one playing it.

I know that Lycanthrope has it as well. I still need to get it.

DO you know how hard it is to get a gameplay video omw!!

I'm guessing you don't use XFire?

Risen's page is full of screenshots and videos.

Seems Risen is much, much shorter than I thought it was. A complete playthrough, with a pretty significant amount of exploring and mass slaughter took me 29 hours to do, according to XFire.

End game credits strongly hint at there being a Risen II, which I'm definitely looking forward to :D

I got xfire I just don't use it since my cap is super low so only use it for updates and getting patches. 29 hours not bad you must have had no problem with the combat then.

So what happened to the bold claims of 80+ hours? They must be taking replays into account, which is lame. 29 Hours for a RPG is really short. Quite disappointing :(.

Combat's fine. I tend to play as a mage, so close combat (staff and such) takes a back-seat. I consider it more of a nice-to-have than a necessity as a mage. I saved up as much LP as possible and spent it on the Fire Crystal, so as long as I had lots of mana pots and enough room to run, I was fine :p

This is my character sheet at the end, if you're interested :o

And XFire's mirrored locally, except for the program. Soooo... save a bit of cap for it, you fiend!

I agree. It's disappointing, but not surprising. For some reason the game felt longer than it ended up actually being to me. I've played through it twice, and still I feel like I need more. It's a good game though, I enjoyed it very, very much and feel inclined to replay it as combat class, but we'll see.

For some utterly bizarre reason I feel like playing G3 again simply for the scale.

I can't help thinking that to Piranha Bytes, Risen was an experiment, to see how popular it would be and whether or not they would proceed with a new franchise. I think it has done well, and I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I'll grab Risen II when it comes out.

I'm happy to have played this game :) I really, truly, enjoyed it.

Lycan I have not yet played very far since I got a brothers that's kind of interrupting me all the time how was the soundtrack after about level 15?

Soundtrack is pretty much the same throughout the game. It doesn't bug me since I find it rather "neutral" and easy to listen to. The odd variations during combat and in certain areas are nice, but in the end it's pretty much the same "feel."

So its short. I not to happy its short But been playing it for a good length and its seems to be long so I don't know

I have a friend that also go the game but his pc is rather out dated so the graphic are not so nice on his machine, he hates the game but im loving it so far.

Ag no my floor textures are broken where the first hunter is. So he is dead underworld and I can't go back to trade the stupid beer i sold that I now need :(

LOL... That sucks.

Let's see.... Bugs I had that I can remember:

  • Door in one ruin ends up clipping you to the second floor.
  • Second-story door in (I think) Nelson's house clips you to the roof.
  • One NPC got stuck in a permanent "agro" position after following me to somewhere he shouldn't have until I killed what we were after.
  • Lots of inaccurate dialogue/subtitles.
  • One guy named Vince is also referred to as Ethan.
  • Going down one flight of stairs, the camera would clip at certain angles and you wouldn't be able to see what was going on.

Nothing that was really game-breaking for me. I guess I was fortunate :(

So far the only camara problem I had is it turning 360 constanly while I am in battle stance...

Plus the creeps that attack you out of thin air, and its easily 1 shot and your dead from full hp.
