Yeah I also thought it was sold old, but then it started popping up on local sites like BT, Kalahari and Raru. I guess they were referring to specific regions being sold out.

It's going to be pretty expensive though, looks like about R2500 on PC and about R2900 on consoles. That's a lot of money for a game, but I'm sure it will be worth it.

I think I'll stick with the 'standard' version. There's already so much extra:

  • The Game DVDs
  • An exclusive CD with the official soundtrack
  • The official, developer-created "Witcher Universe - The Compendium"
  • A beautiful, detailed map of the in-game world
  • A set of unique Witcher 3 stickers
  • A stylish, protective sleeve

R600 is pushing it for me (what happened to R300 :D). There's no way I'm spending R2500 on one game (especially since I need that cash for upgrades), no matter how good it is. I wouldn't mind the medallion that comes with the collectors edition though :/ That looks sick.

A bit off topic, but after playing Original Sin, I was interested in getting the retail version. Until I went to the Larian Vault and saw that with exchange rates, it costs upwards of R1000. It's a pity. You don't see many larger than normal boxes anymore.

Yeah it really is a lot of money just for one game, but I know I will probably regret it for the rest of my life if I don't get it. Getting the PC CE and then most likely the PS4 normal edition so I can actually play the game. :p

Will upgrade my PC eventually so I can play the PC version.
 
Is it just me or do the graphics look a little downgraded from The Witcher 2?

I'm not complaining though, the game looks awesome :D! I hope I can afford the CE :eek:

Remember that the build they are showing us is already a few months old (same build from E3) and I doubt very much that it's running on the highest possible settings. That being said, it still looks better than W2 to me, but then I've never seen W2 on ultra with my own eyes (except in videos, but that doesn't count).

I did play it on Ultra on PC, but the build is old which may be why it looks a tad bit worse. But I'm not complaining, it still looks absolutely gorgeous!

Still waiting for my confirmation e-mail from BT for the CE :(. I have R150ish on credit at BT I wanna use to pre-order :D

That is the PC version, they already confirmed, plus you can see the nvidia hair physX. An interview said though that this doesnt have all the PC version ultra settings activated yet. nor have they started optimizations. They said they hope they can add cloud shadows.

Then I hope they optimise it well, I cannot play a game like that it gives me a headache.
