All things Sport

The overtaking in the race was brilliant, I was just dissapionted that Botta's didnt get closer to Vettel and that Vettel didnt get to overtake massa. But then again Massa did a great job and I was really happy for him, even happier for Rosberg - he is just 10 points behind Lewis now! So Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Rosberg!

I also only watched 3/4, and only with one eye since I was at the in laws.

The mid order battles were interesting, and I'm always chuffed to see HAM 2nd, but it was still far from "what a race" for me. Less boring than Canada, sure, but I genuinely hate seeing so many retirements due to failures. :( And I can't help but feel sorry for ALO and BUT.. ALO was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but if we look at BUT, I'm not sure either of them would've come far. I really hope Honda can pull their finger out and get the McLarens competitive for next year.

Wow that was a very exciting F1 race! I actually watched the whole thing. And yesterday the Super Rugby final was also amazing so it was a good sport weekend.

Don't forget the Proteas kicking Bangladesh's ass in their first T20 match. Was a good weekend of sport indeed.

It was a great bowling performance, I was a bit disappointed in our batting performance to be honest... faf did well but our batsmen are much better than they looked today... I know the pitch was slow, and it showed when we bowled that the batting was difficult, but I guess I just like to see us post decent scores... and the 140 odd was a poor reflection of our unit in my opinion...

I loved that F1 race, I don't think I've seen a race with more drama. Great weekend indeed.

I have to agree, I was jumping around and yelling and what not. Massa did a great job at the start. Then Vettel looked like he was just not in the mood and then came the rain and Vettel woke up. Hamilton did well I guess, Rosberg as well, Alonso scored a point! Unfortunately I still cant figure out what happened at the start with the two lotus cars.

Can't wait for the Rugby champs to start and man i hope the tour is also a good spectacle again this year we have 2 South African's riding in the TdF this year GL to them :)

I think Hamilton did great, when he went in for that first pit stop he was pushing to make sure he got ahead of the Williams cars, he also timed the change to the inter brilliantly. I think he worked hard for that win after those Williams cars flew past at the start. Vettel also had a great drive, pity Kimi didn't fare as well.

My meh feeling is just the fact that I dont like Lewis, he did great yesterday and the change to inters was perfectly timed. A pity Kimi didnt hold out, he must have really felt pressure to go and change, or he believed that the rain would actually come down. Vettel timed that perfectly to jump the two williams cars. So chuffed for him, I suspect they expected the rain, once the car was on a wet track they flew.

Jip, Williams messed up though, they just held out to long. If they did the rolling change one lap earlier then I think they could have held Vettel back but they just lost too much time in the rain. Pity, they started well but they should have let Bottas through in the beginning to build a lead against Hamilton, if that happened i think it would have been a very different race.

I agree their strategy just was not working out for me, bottas was the faster car and for some reason they let them race = they wasted that opportunity.

So we might be having a problem on the No.8 Front from what i see on supersport :( Duane is going in for a neck op on wed and it's gonna be a race against time for him for the WC. And sorry to say this but i don't see Spies doing anything useful at the back maybe play Whiteley rather

It's crazy to pick a guy that played at 15 for the whole of Super Rugby at 13 for the Boks AHEAD of many other players (Like Mapoe) who did well at 13 in Super Rugby.

Anyway, the junior Currie Cup starts this weekend (Under 19 and Under 21). The Lions are playing the Blue Bulls on Friday at Ellis Park

Apparently he played 13 for the Junior Boks last year. Maybe it's worth a chance to see what he is like. I suppose if you have to try out combinations then you have to do them now. But yes, of all our outside centres I would have gone with Mapoe too. I really hope that Kriel does well though.

That he did he's brother played 15 and he was one of the star players in the juniors last year in the tournament. He's a good player and like pollard he's a good strong runner too.

I see bakkies is leading the World 15

So...............We lost the series to Bangladesh  WTF Proteas..........Either its the best I've seen The tigers play or its one of the most dismal performances of an SA squad in a long time. And ok we got screwed over by DWL again as usual but man our bowling attack is up too.......atm. And batting isn't up to par either and amla's excuse is "were rusty". rly?

See Chris Froom is dominating the TDF atm he absolutely smashed the field on Tue on the Hill Climb Finish. Leading the tour by almost 3 minutes, i can't see anyone coming back to beat him this year :D.

And Super Schalk is starting for the Boks at No.8 hope he has a smashing game and we own the Wallabies.

Go Bokke!!

That cricket... Wow... After the first match I think the guys were just like, ag man its Bangladesh... Seriously disappointed in the Proteas... But it does show that the Bangladesh boys are getting better... Someone said to me a few years ago that Bangladesh is the next Sri Lanka... They both started out seriously kak...

Really looking forward to the Rugby on Sat! Was impressed with Skalk against the world 15, he seemed to do less "crash ball" and lose it in the turn over, and more, Run and Pass...

I always like to believe that we have a chance to beat the Aussies and All Blacks... Would love to see the Bokke lift another World Cup...
