My plans to finish my boat got a bit delayed. I decided to level an alt and sell the 16x16 farm of my alt to my main, so i now got 2 farms and i also decided to move to a place where i can put down all my stuff together. So now i'm in a bit of a desert/arid zone, next to a nice oasis (Arcum Iris) and the mining spot across from me.
Sadly my taxes went up like crazy. I am now trying to sell my house in Mahadevi , must say the in-game system is quite well designed to avoid scams, just unfortunate you can't really advertise globally on the AH. So players need to walk past the house and be physically there to buy it , requiring me to spam chat to find buyers. At this stage i got 2x houses , 2x medium farms , 1x small farm with my weekly tax rate sitting at like 110 tax credits which is gonna kill me .
I must say even on Nui, the space has totally disappeared, if you did not put your house / farm down in such a way that it can expand to 24x24 you are screwed. Very few people can actually have their 16x16 farm and 8x8 farm together at this point, especially in the Temperate zones. I explored through all of them and only spots open is the "mansion" areas (so can't build farms there).
So even my Mahadevi farms/house was a nice location, but it was all over the place, my 1 farm was 3 houses down the road, my other farm in between 3 other farms the other side of the road from my house. Now that i grabbed the wide open spots in Arcum (it looks like WoW Barrens) where no one wanted to go because it's the starter zone and well it is arid , i got it all together and placed it so (as did everyone else who place there) that i can expand.
Looks like i wasn't the only one with this idea, you can see a few guilds intentionally did some "town planning" with the area, because they could. The more popular areas looks like sandton, everyone squeezed into -really- tight spots, no open spaces anywhere.
