I have 8gb... runs very smooth. Just sometimes loading is a bit long. But im fine with that.

Side note: I was getting massive stuttering yesterday making the game very unplayable, especially when travelling at high speeds into new areas. Was getting very frustrated (and no, it was not an Alt+Tab situation).
I went to change the view distance in the options menu; set it to its lowest - only a slight improvement was noticed.
Then I thought, why not try changing the window mode to borderless and sure enough it helped. I now only get micro-stutters. Game is much more smoothly playable. Taking into account my RAM, it may improve even more - only time will tell.

My game was running at 30FPS the whole time no matter how I messed around with the graphic settings until I discovered the v-sync was set to half so the game was capped at 30FPS. I took that off and now the game is performing much better. It's usually a smooth 60FPS when I'm walking around and shooting and stuff, but it drops to somewhere in the high 40's and 50's occasionally when driving around, more so when using custom music which really sucks since after playing the game on both PS3 and PS4 I'm a little tired of the original soundtrack.

Was doing the prison break heist stealing the car from the cargo ship. After minutes of trying to elude the cops and gangsters we went uphill and the car spontaneously burst into flames... This was also before I had managed to elude the cops when a phantom chopper spotted us; we were sitting without any stars when this happened.

The online is rather inconsistent for me. 
Sometimes I can play numerous jobs with different players no probs, other times I sit and watch the "joining gta online" spinny circle for 5mins or session info lost returning me to single player. Was hoping the latest patch where it matches you closer to people geologically would help =/

Started messing around with some mods yesterday. The enhanced trainer is really cool if you just want to screw around with the game. You can play as almost any person or animal in the game, spawn any vehicle, turn wanted levels off completely (or make them higher) etc.
I had a lot of fun driving around on a motorcycle as a chimp just flipping everybody off.
