I still think the reputation system is fine, it's just people like Hurdur don't understand how to use it. Or maybe he does, but doesn't care, which isn't much of a problem since he already has a negative reputation and can't deduct other peoples rep.

I'm also a victim of his neg-rep rampage, but it doesn't bother me cause it didn't do anything, except make me aware of the fact that he really is a troll. So I welcomed him to my ignore list. :D

I think the system as it is, is fine since now you don't have anonymity and one example of misuse is hardly a good reason to scrap the whole thing. :)
 
only thing i would add is after lots of neg reps you get auto banned. like -1000 points or something like that. aka you really have bean trolling like a mad man.

Nah, there are quite a few fights behind the scenes. :P

Also, lots of people drag neg-rep into discussions because they're butthurt by it. Happens at least a few times a week.

Agree, everyone here who I neg rep seems really butthurt about it. Well let me tell you something guys, I didn't neg you to butthurt you. I negged you because you guys were talking garbage. If you are feeling butthurt about it then I apologize. Just try to not be so butthurt in the future okay? Because this isn't real life. It's just a forum. No more butthurting one another. Try headhurting. Or maybe even nosehurt. But no more butthurting.

Dude, nobody gives a shit when you neg-rep them, because your rep counts for nothing. Everybody is merely pointing out and becoming increasingly aware of the fact that you're just here to troll.

Clearly me mocking your use of the term "butthurt" went over your head. Besides, why are you even replying to me? I thought you weren't going to feed the troll. You say that every time, and yet somehow you still end up talking about/to me.

Actually, it didn't. I just found it the fact that you're actively mocking people now as too trollish to really take note of. It would appear now that the majority of people are aware of the fact that you're a troll, you no longer care to hide behind false pretenses and honeyed words, but instead troll openly. I'd be genuinely surprised if you're around for much longer, to be honest.

I actually have forgotten about the rep system for months and then every now and then when I'm fiddling with settings, I see it there and laugh my ass off at the neg rep comments. Really amusing to see people get therir panties in a bunch over a post and then neg rep me.
 
I actually think it's ridiculous when users neg rep me, and then kick up a fuss when I return the neg rep they gave me. If you want to be so impulsive and hit the neg rep button, the least you can do is read the message that comes up afterward. The one that says "Thanks for adding reputation to this user. May you be lucky enough to receive the same Reputation back in turn."

You should consider yourself lucky that you are receiving the same Reputation back from me instead of complaining about how unjust it was to have received such a rep from me! It really is as simple as that.

I've actually got quite a stellar IQ, and thus I finish tasks a lot faster than the average human, thus, I have a lot of free time on my hands, which allows me to associate with all you nice folk :) Granted, a lot of you get "butthurt" by the things I say, but that is not my intention.

Although, according to some users, "I'm not even trolling intelligently anymore." Every time that user has no come back he tells me that. I can count the number of the number of times that "I haven't been trolling intelligently anymore."
Also, that user also tells every other user to report me to James if they feel I'm trolling. For everything, report him to James. Because obviously James has nothing better to do with his time than deal with the vendetta one user has against me.

And it all started why? Because I chose to use the nickname that HE had been using to troll the comments section of this site. From trolling to being trolled. And then he makes it seem like he's such an innocent angel. At every argument, he's there to cause a scene. And then suddenly everyone else become the trolls.

So to answer your question. Yes, I am still here :) And I do not intend to leave simply because one user has something against me and has convinced so many other users that I am pure evil.
