Bwahahaha!
I just bought Simcity 2013 on Origin anyway, though.
Lol, awesome. Maybe I'll get the latest Cities in Motion DLC and Cities XL Platinum And the latest Tropico 4 DLC.
I should stop now.

Haha!
Think I may get Cities XL instead.
I wouldn't pay more for $10 for Simcity (5) at the moment.
Meh, I'm just seeing Simcity for what it is. An MMO. I don't really mind all that much. As long as the servers are stable when I start playing on Sunday I'll be happy.
I agree with this, I don't have much of a problem with always online, the only reason i'm tentative about sim city is because i hear the area you have to create a city is tiny. More like sim town size.

I'm going to be brutally honest here and say the only reason I have any interest in, and have pre-ordered, Simcity 2013 is because of the social features. I don't know, technical issues aside it sounds pretty fun. I probably wouldn't have picked this up (unless on sale) if it wasn't for the social features.
I can understand why people who were fans of the previous games are disgruntled, though.
It's hardly an MMO, I will however give you the MO. The largest region I've seen has 11 or 12 places where you can build. Not nearly enough to call it massive![]()
A prime example of this is a recent conversation a SimCity user has had with EA support which resulted in the support staff stating
“I’m sorry I can’t offer you a refundâ€
“I must inform you that if you choose to dispute it, your account will be bannedâ€
Largest region contains 16 cities. We've already got 16 people in for a region over on the NAG forums. Can't wait any longer. If I get a monopoly on a resource I'm extorting the crap out of it.![]()
I'll wait and see if the server issues are fixed for the EU release before I start speculating about things like that. No use slagging the game off further for things we can't be sure about yet.
I'll only be able to play on Sunday regardless.
Eh, isn't that the case with any multiplayer/online game? If you want to organise a guild event in an MMO you usually have to organise it beforehand so people know what time to be online, otherwise having enough people online at the same time might be an issue. Same thing here, imo.
