PSA for the Gauteng board gamers: Another Timeless Board Games party in Bedfordview, this time celebrating their one year anniversary.

Board Game Party

The Board Game Party October 2015 is the celebration of our first year as Timeless Board Games.

Join us on Saturday 3rd October for a fun filled day of board gaming, giveaways and much more!

Instead of our 2 prize draw, we will be giving away 10 prizes including the R900 classic Suburbia and a R800 Sterling Silver Hand Crafted Jewelry Piece sponsored by African Jewel. Other prizes include games, vouchers and swag.

Complimentary snacks, juice, tea, coffee, milo and hot chocolate will be served as usual.
To celebrate further we will indulge in birthday party style with birthday cake and other goodies :-)

A huge THANK YOU to all of you who have supported us over the year! Our first board game party in October 2014 saw 24 participants and just over 40 demos. We now have over 130 demos and our record attendance is 94 gamers. Help us beat this record and invite all your friends!

Something extra for this event:
- Lattes and waffles will also be sold on the day. R20 gets you a latte and a quarter waffle or R5 for a quarter waffle.
- Get yourself a Henna Tattoo from R15. Stick to your own gaming group or play with other gamers.

New-comers and experienced board gamers welcome. A few guys will be walking around teaching games. Large, spacious and comfortable hall perfect for the biggest board game party in South Africa!

Doors open at 10 am
We start packing up in the evening at around 9:30 pm

Where:
Bedford Chapel
4 Bradford Road
Bedfordview

Entrance fee:
R60 at the door (tickets also sold online)

Snacks and drinks:
Complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice will be served

Lunch:
Boerewors rolls will be sold.
You are welcome to bring your own food.
Alcohol is prohibited.

Supper:
Organize or bring your own.

Payment methods:
Cash will be accepted on the day.
Although we do not have a credit card machine, you will be able to purchase food or games with your VISA or MATERCARD using Snapscan. Simply download the Snapscan app on your phone and follow the instructions to set it up. More info @ http://www.snapscan.co.za/

Recently got into play Eldritch Horror with the Mountains of Madness Exp and picking up Pandemic next month.

Any other board gamers in CT area?

Eldritch Horror is amazing! I love it. I just wish I got to play it a bit more. I like Pandemic too. Co-op FTW!

I think there are a few regulars that are in CT, but I''m in Pretoria. There are many places in the PTA/JHB area that provide access to our wonderful hobby - Outer Limits, Timeless Board games, Games 4 all, Battle Wizards...

Pandemic is fun, but not a whole lot of replayability value in it unfortunately

Hopefully adding Forsaken Lore and Strange Remnants to the game in two weeks. And yes...some play through's can take hours! But it's always damn fun :)
 
Did anybody back the Blood Rage kickstarter? I received my shipment last week. I can show some pics if you guys are keen to see.

Awesome! I think that Forsaken Lore is basically essential. It adds a lot of variety to the base game, but doesn't change much in terms of the rules other than adding two extra conditions. I haven't tried Strange Remnants yet.

Here's a pic of my game with the wife that's still on the go. Notice all the cards are sleeved, I'm obsessive like that :P

Awesome man! Yup. My base game is sleeved as well :D

Waiting for Sword and Board to get more sleeves for these sets.

Also need to Cthulu'fy my dice tower :D

I was pleasantly surprised yea! Next up is the conan one, which may have even more stuff in it, but that may be shipped as a 2-parter.
