The MyGaming board games thread

I now want to get Under the Pyramids for Eldritch Horror. Anyone in pretoria playing board games? Sometimes its boring to play alone :)

There are quite a few of us. If you want to scratch that itch without having to organise anything try going to Battle Wizards (in Centurion) or Outer Limits (in Lynnwood) on a Wednesday night. They both host board games nights. Go and support them and have a good time.

Last I was at outer limits, they were in Hatfield next to Tings.. Where in Lynnwood are they now?

That was a long time ago! They since moved to the square, then when the square closed down, they moved to that small centre near Varsity Bakery. That's where they are now. It's on Lynnwood road, across from the men's rezs.

Ok cool. I buy my stuff from Outer Limits. I don't have transport for gaming :(

I remember when they were next to Capeesh in Brooklyn, then next to SARS in Brooklyn, before going to Hatfield. But I know exactly where that is, the Java centre with Defcon 5.

HAHA! I guess that makes two of us :P

Outer limits is DIRECTLY next door to Defcon 5. Unfortunately, Java doesn't exist anymore.

Where do I find Takenoko?
Takealot doesn't have it.. nor can I find it on Price Check, and importing it from amazon seems tedious.

Also, I want something fresh. Small World opened a whole new door for me, in that board games can be fun, even for the losers of a round. So what do you guys suggest?

So this thread has been quiet for a while...

It turns out that I have REALLY taken a shine to Magic. I even participated in the latest pre-release and played in my first Modern tournament last night at Battle Wizards. I didn't do particularly well, but I really enjoyed it and I will probably attend the events more regularly. Is there anyone else here that plays Modern in Pretoria?
