I thought this was a really good article with plenty of insightful information which most gamers should actually read because a lot of gamers I know buy into the hype about a fancy mouse and all the features that come with these ridiculous looking mice these days. I have had a Logitech MX518 for about 7 years and recently bought the Logitech G400 which is basically just a newer look same model as the MX518 and I absolutely love it. DO NOT buy into all these other features, for me all that matters is a good feel realiable mouse with atleast 2 sides buttons to make my life easier but again that is just my opinion which happens to agree with the article :D

I am currently broke as can be, so this article is quite pertinent to my situation. I've got an okay pc, but im still playing on one of the old optical mouses I picked up about 10 years ago. What I really love about this kind of article is that it never fails to set off hundreds of comment with everyone giving their opinion on the subject; what is more important in choosing a gaming aid than the opinion of fellow gamers who have first-hand experience with the subject matter?

One thing that would help in this article is a voting tab where guys can choose their favorite pc parts provider.
 
Why should almost never buy high end components

As fool and his money, as they say, are soon parted, and the marketing departments who work for hardware manufacturers love to trumpet the often superfluous to all but the most demanding hardware "enthusiasts" exclusive or premium features that invariably make such products cost three or more times as much as a more sensible mainboard that would serve as a perfectly adequate base for a PC build, especially for those without the most cavernous of pockets, or with a cavalier approach to credit and living within one's means.

As I discovered after selling my Radeon HD 6870, with very little work, it is often possible to play all but the most cutting edge of titles provided that plot and gameplay are of greater value to you than approaching photo-realism. [Diablo 3 on Intel integrated graphics, for example. ;-) ]

Although its not a problem for me, Pc's do overheat in summer and can cause lasting damage, although its mainly the guys that Overclock that see dramatic temp rises in summer if their cooling isn't done properly. Then there is always our fantastic lightning storms in Jhb...I would advise anyone even with a ups to rather switch off and unplug all you're hardware, not just you're pc. Nice to see a great hardware article that has some tips and helps the not so informed gamers/hardware junkies out there.
