*WINNER ANNOUNCE* Cooler Master HAF XM PC case with Sonic Informed

Hi... My name is Alex... and i'm an audiophile.

*crowd says:* Hi Alex

I really enjoyed this article as it puts 3 top notch headsets against each other with the obvious choice being the winner... I havnt uses the Trittons, but ive tested the G35s and a lower quality set of sennies. In past experience i have found Sennheiser to be absolutely brilliant! At home i have 2 pairs of headphones. I have a pair of Roccat Kaves for gaming and when watching movies or playing a game where i dont really need use of my mic and i want to enjoy the audio, i swap to my Senny HD 407s. the BABY set of the 555s. The Kaves are amazing in my opinion and work very well compared to a set of G35s i have tested in the past, but my sennies, in terms of audio clarity and delivery, blow the others out the water. If i could afford a pair of HD555s, i would go buy them right now :D

As I become more aged, and doddery :p I feel somewhat left behind on many of the hardware trends I used to follow like a fanatic! This article sparked memories of massive modification plans to my old PC's including the camo spray job that displayed the worst artistic ability one could imagine. In fact pre-school children could have done better with a box of crayons!

Was interesting to read about the masters of their universe and the hardware that is associated with the 'perfect' system!

Why You Should Buy an SSD

I think this article would fall very close to the life changing. After reading this article i checked the prices for SSD on takealot and decided to take the plunge and got the 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 and OH MY GOODNESS!!.

The performance gain was amazing. Load times are a fraction of what they used to be and just overal snappyness (if that is a word) is amazing. Luckily i cloned the drive so no having to re-install windows and decided as an experiment to put the old drive back in... I don't think i even allowed windows to finish loading and i turned it off and put the SSD back.

The day the prices lower enough that you can get a 500-512GB, then I'm definitely getting one for all the games.

This gave me some valuable info on how to place my fans, intake and exhaust and which fans would compliment the case as well as the layout. The linked article in this one (part 1 of summer-cooling) also opened my eye to how much dust can build up in a pc in a short spell, especially if the pc's intake is low to the ground (yes, mine is). Needless to say I clean out my pc on a monthly basis, as well as use filters over the intake fans and top exhaust, as it would be a rather expensive job to replace anything that dies in the case.

I know I'm placing two links on my entry but they go together and to be fair there is a link in the first sentence on the AMD article.

http://mygaming.co.za/news/hardware/32709-history-of-ati-dual-gpu-graphics-cards.html

Why I choose these two is simply because this was the birth of the dual processor GPU cards and its really interesting to read though their development. The other interesting thing is that Nvidia bought the right to this technology in 1998 from 3dfx with voodoo2 but these dual cards only came out in 2005. Check out this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Link_Interface for an in depth history article with dates, facts and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, with a link to AMD's development.

BTW I have been looking for a new case myself so this will certainly save my budget.

This article does make me ashamed. In the day and age we are living, I have not even the half of capacity of those HD's mentioned. Going to tell you a secret here, one I do not share often, with anyone. I still have a 150gb harddrive. Shameful!! This article has convinced me though to start looking for something a big bigger, seeing as I have been starting to have major problems with space lately. Thank you Mygaming for pulling me out of this hole of ignorance.
