Woo! Load shedding, woo!

They seem to target me... we were suppose start at 5:30 pm, from last week they seem to follow the schedule we were given, previous day was also correct. Yesterday, 5:30 it was suppose to go down but we had power, 6:00 had power, 6:30 had power....around 6:40 decided to switch on PC...it wasnt even booted halfway when the power cut.
Bastards.

I think this winter we are going to get it bad.

I dont understand how my grid hasnt received anything, yet almost everyone else has.

Are there many politicians living in your neighbourhood?
Jk. It's probably just an oversight on Eskom's part, but don't fret; I've already dropped them a mail on your behalf.

There are some grids that never get turned off. They are normally connected to hospitals, sewage plants, water processing plants or key business areas. If you haven't been turned off, you either have extremely incompetent staff at your municipality or you are attached to one of the previously mentioned buildings. Both are equally likely.

This morning we had no power because of a fault. Then later today we will be hit by load shedding. Basically no power today. While I was showering I could hear Zuma laughing and it haunts my dreams.

Im on the same grid as an industrial area :)

Looks like we're off from 12 until 14:30 today... buh. Maybe this is a good excuse to duck out for the afternoon :)

For you android guys, take a look at Grid Watch. It's great for monitoring loadshedding and you can save locations (work, home, etc) which will then notify you 30 minutes prior to said locations being loadshed.
