I'm supporting RIC, KVY and BOT next year. I do hope BUT gets a drive, he surely deserves one, and proved it again(!) over the weekend. The way McLaren is treating their drivers, though, I really hope he gets to drive somewhere else, and if I were ALO, I'd be apprehensive.
I think that you can't talk about BUT being up in the air without looking at the reason behind it: suddenly there are 4 less spots to drive in next year.. The FIA keeps going on about cost cutting and even allowing 24 drivers on the grid (which I would love to see), but the way they keep screwing over the small teams is ridiculous. They're killing the sport from the inside.
I disagree on two point, though: 1) I don't mind the engines. B) I'm definitely going to keep watching!
Hehehehe I think we will have to agree to disagree.
Button is and never has been a favourite of mine, between him and Massa they need to retire now. Grosjean and Maldanado as well. Im disappointed with Perez and Hulkenberg this season. Alonso is making the biggest mistake of his career, Rosberg is still an under rated driver, I believe he has more potential if he is in a team that supports him.
Unfortunately the FIA and other people such as Bernie and Max has destroyed the sport for me, Most of the race tracks are boring and unimaginative, overtaking is based on KERS and a little skill. This season has been one of the most boring seasons in a long while - I think the Shumi era was close to it.
As for the engines, I am very disappointed with a lot of the choices made to "improve" the sport = If they want to improve the budgets and encourage the teams to stay in a budget maybe they should lower the amount of teams and make it three cars per team. If they want to regulate the cars so much, then they might as well go back to the A1 and participate in that.
Formula one was always and has always meant to me, speed, beautiful cars, the noise, the emotions, the chills, the racing and pushing of themselves to become the best no matter what. They are slowly taking all of it away. They are changing it into A1 . . . Generic boring cars, no marvel of engineering. No race drivers with so much bling on their ears that I still can't believe he doesnt have holes in his head from the helmet after a race.
I have never missed a race in my life, no matter where I was, what I was doing, I would not miss a live race - no matter what the time. Now we have spectacles that costs millions to run, with half empty stands. Why is it that F1 lost almost all of their fans, when if you look at MotoGP - the races are sold out EVERY time. Obviously something has gone seriously wrong. And I really don't believe I will be glued to my tv next year. Even this year I have barely debated with anyone about F1, I havent even bothered to keep the F1 thread updated with the news. I cannot proudly say I am an F1 fan, because no one is taking the sport seriously.
