Nvidia 3D Vision

I've just sent someone at Rectron an e-mail asking them about the rumor that they'll be bringing in these 3D Vision Kits and compatible monitors. I'll let you guys know what their answer is when I get it.
 
Well you should have a answer before me as this branch contact head office_ JHB anyway. They will probably bring in the Samsung LCD's which is only 22".
 
That's fine if they only bring in the Samsung monitor for now. The BIG questions is whether or not they're going to bring in the 3D Vision Kit. Because that's flippen difficult to get - especially locally.
 
Lol will let you guys now the price of the Alienware Optx Monitor soon as soon as my supplier gets back to me :p

That Alienware monitor is the direct competition to my Acer monitor I just bought. The Alienware monitor is a bit more expensive but they say you can see the difference in terms of build quality. I don't see anything wrong with the build quality of the Acer at all so I'm interested to see the Alienware monitor for real.

Because I imported the Acer monitor for R5000, which is VERY overpriced, I cannot even take a guess at what the Alienware monitor will / or should cost. If you're going to import that monitor like I did, I would expect nothing less than R6000. Which is madness.
 
Yes think so to, if not even more. I love the Acer you have , that is the one I want , pity we get scr*w*d with imports. I looked on Ebay but cant find it there.
 
Just found out i could get the Acer for R 5400-00 @ my door and the glasses for R 1500-00... MMM must make plan..Let me know about your findings on your GF PC

Hey dude. Where can you get the glasses for that price? Sounds very good.

I just got a call from one of the Rectron representatives. The guy said they're aware of the product but have never received enough requests on the product to make the decision to bring them in. I told him I think it's because people in this country of ours are too oblivious to know about the new tech and are simply not asking.

So it looks like this is a technology that you'll need to get for yourself. I think it's better that way. Then it won't be made common by every guy and his dog and it's something that sets you apart from Mr. and Mrs. Potato head who think an inkjet printer is cutting edge.
 
Yes agree with you 100%. It from the owner of LandmarkPC. Only get it at that price if i take screen also. So package deal. I will wait for your findings and then get them for me. R 6900-00 is not to bad . Will put off on the second GTX480 to get this and can also sell my 23.6" Samsung for a few bucks
 
It's interesting that the price they're asking is very much the same as what it would cost if you imported the product using Take2 from Amazon.co.uk. Well, if you look at the website advertised price. If they have stock of the glasses I may just buy another pair in the meantime anyways - but if they don't carry stock, it would be easier to simply go via Take2 where they import them for you anyways.
 
Forgot about Take 2. Ordered from them before. Thanks for heads-up. Dont see it listed on Take 2.

I like Take2 A LOT. If you look at my sales history with them it's actually kinda scary to see how much money I've spent using them. I'll order another set of glasses tomorrow night if I've determined that my glasses are broken. IF something is broken, I hope it's the IR emitter. That way I'll end up with 2 working 3D glasses....which would be useful at least. No point in sitting with 2 IR Emitters. lol.

Hey, I just remembered, I have a blue laser pointer on order from the US :D

Wow, that sounds really really cool. Lets hope SA isnt left in the dark for too much longer. Although there are signs of it already. But its a huge pitty for those who dont have full vision in both eyes, like myself. *Huge Sigh!*:(
