Is the uPlay client servers itself down, or just the FC3 servers? I activated and started playing while the FC3 servers were down.

I think it's the uplay servers. I think my problem is that I can't log in online or offline.
 
uPlay and FC3 servers are up. Gogogogo!

Oh, and someone asked earlier. The day 1 patch is about 250mb.
 
Still down from what I can tell:cry:

Try to log in? Server error.

Try to launch game? Update server gives a server error.

Try to update the game and Uplay manually? both pages are currently unavailable.

I'm totally going to pop a vein, or burst an artery:mad:
 
Strange. I'm currently playing in Online mode and just finished a MP match. Maybe try reinstalling uPlay or rebooting your router?

You need to have it running, but you can put it in offline mode.

Also, that moment when the boat is in the middle of a bay and you realise there's a shark in the water when you've swum halfway towards it...

Yeah, kinda like Steam Offline Mode. Except uPlay actually seems to work, unlike Steam Offline mode where you have to pray that it works every time you try and launch it.

Oh, for those of you playing, remember to manually save every time you craft something. I just lost 2 rucksack upgrades and a weapon sling upgrade because the checkpoint was before I crafted them and a shark ate me.

restarted PC, restarted my internets, uninstalled both the game and Uplay, re-installed, still no cigar...

I'm seriously considering an alternative method (read crack).
 
So after a rocky start and finding that the game runs at 3 times the framerate in DX11 over DX9 I have to say I'm quite impressed. The voice acting is SOOO good that I just want to see more of the story unfold.

Oh and the game is gorgeous on max graphics and 1080p, in DX11 it dips at most to 40+ fps, mostly hanging around 60.

Too tired to really sink my teeth into it tonight, but tomorrow I'm going to be putting in some hours. :D
 
The intro scene really sucked me in, the narrative elements were top notch. When I got to the top of the first radio tower I was amazed at the graphical beauty of the game, much more than I was expecting and much better than videos I saw around youtube.

For people tinkering around with video settings I found that PostFX and Shadows have the greatest effect on framerate so far. Playing at 60 frames on Dx11 with some settings turned down but I need to test the game with the new nvidia drivers...
 
Man..so many positive comments about this game....want it so bad now :(

I will call the local shops and see if anyone has copies of it yet,looking forward to it!
 
OMG this is so much fun!! Got eaten up by a shark TWICE watched other people get eaten up by sharks was chased by monkeys and cleared out a few outposts... Haven't gotten into the story yet just exploring the island atm
 
This game is like a giant toybox. I just set up an ambush for a military patrol. Parked a car in the middle of the road, C4'ed it, waited for the patrol to come along. It tried to drive around the vehicle. Kaboom.

And then I was attacked by a colorful ostrich thing.
