Offical Far Cry 3 Thread

So because of this thread and all the positive reviews I shall be getting it this afternoon. Damn it I needed to get new strings for my guitar :( :p

I just rolled my car into a river. On the plus side, I had a nice swim and found a hidden cave with a loot box.

@ Spooner: Apparently the MP is not shit at all. Whether it's going to last I don't know.

The MP is excellent, but sadly it doesn't have the same mainstream appeal that CoD or BF3 has, so it likely won't last more than two weeks here in SA. :(

Such a pity. I think it's better than either those two games.

Yeah, SP is the main focus. It also seems pretty well optimized, so it should run on older PCs, depending on what 'older' is. :p
 
If you're wondering why it's impossible to join a multiplayer game, apparently there's an MP crack out and whenever there's a player with a pirated copy in the lobby, the match won't start.

Not only are they cheap bastards, but now they're wasting the legit customers' money as well.
 
If anyone wants to join in on some co-op, me and a friend are currently playing. It's pretty awesome. We're looking to get a full team. We'll restart if anyone wants to join.

Stupid question. If I activated my game in uPlay during/after installation. Will it stay in the lib like steam? Will I be able to download it through uPlay?

It should work the same, to my knowledge. It's supposed to be almost like Steam.

I think the sales on this is pretty good. One of my friends just told me he can't find a copy anywhere. He's heading to Canal Walk to check there now.

But so far, colour me impressed. It's like Far Cry 2, only fun.

I actually forgot that I have to be in Gordons Bay in two hours.

I'm kinda taking a break right now. I think I rushed through the game a bit too much. Going to restart on a higher difficulty tomorrow.
 
Oh, and I highly suggest that you guys spend the first 40 uPlay points you earn on the bonus mission. It was the scariest thing I've done in a game in a while. I'm not going to post spoilers, but :eek:
 
Also got this yesterday and played for a while. Absolutely loving it. I kind of like how Uplay works across the platforms; I used uplay points from AC3 on PS3 to unlock bonus stuff in Far Cry 3 on PC. You guys can add me on uplay if you're looking for someone for co-op/mp: wlad777
